28-year-old Pippa Middleton had better make the most of her sex appeal this year… it’s never going to get any better than it does at age 28 according to a new study.
Over 2000 women were questioned by Lil Lets, a British company that manufactures feminine hygiene products, who wanted to find out more about modern women’s attitudes to being female.
The study found that women feel their sexiest at 28 years of age, while their confidence peaks four years later at 32.
Researchers found that 75 per cent of respondents would not change their body shape if they could, and that most are satisfied with the shape of their breasts and bottoms, and the size of their waists and hips.
The body part women were most proud of was their eyes (23 per cent), then breasts (20 per cent) and brains (13 per cent).
When asked what part they would change if they had to, 41 per cent of respondents said they would opt for longer, slimmer legs.
Being dumped by a partner was the biggest reason given for a drop in self-confidence, followed by encountering problems at work. And 1 in 5 respondents wished they could have more confidence around men. While reasons for rising confidence were given as ‘knowing where you are going in life’ (60 per cent), and having had at least one long-term partner (52 per cent).
When asked to name the woman they found most inspiring, most respondents (19 per cent) chose Pippa’s big sister Kate – the Duchess of Cambridge; followed by Crimean war nurse Florence Nightingale (17 per cent); and 50’s Hollywood movie star Marilyn Monroe (15 per cent).
Director of Marketing at Lil-Lets, Clodagh Ward, says ‘It’s fantastic to see women are in fact quite happy with the way they look.’
