Why Breastfeed?
For some women breastfeeding is relatively easily and for others the problems seem endless. So while I would encourage every mum to breastfeed, and get reliable breastfeeding help when you need it, your decision to breastfeed through problems needs to be based on what you feel is best for your and your family... read more

New Parenting Tips

Laundry Baskets for Rotating and Storing Toys
Try plastic laundry baskets to store your baby's toys in. They are cheap, they fit quite a lot in them and they are fun for babies (and toddlers!) to climb in when they are empty. If you have the space, use more than one so you can rotate toys between them so that different toys can be played with each day while some stay in the other basket for a couple of days - toys seem much more interesting if they haven't been played with for a while!

Pre-Packaged Custard
When my baby first started eating custard I would make it from scratch but I quickly realised that buying cartons of pre-made custard was much easier. I also found that baby custard went very running part way through eating it, but a small portion of pre-packaged custard put into a container keeps its consistency.
