Giving you Permission to Be the Parent!
This topic has been prompted by the many parents who are contacting me asking for help "because my daughter/son doesn't like... sitting in the bath/eating in the high chair/sleeping in their cot or big bed/sitting in the stroller/wearing a sleeping bag!" My response is usually as tactful as possible - "Who gave them a choice?"... read more

Choosing a baby's name
Having a baby is exciting. Once the child is born, you’ll be faced with a number of questions - is it a boy or a girl, how big was it and what is the baby's name. New Parenting Tips

Cheap and easy bath toys
My kids' favourite bath toys are recycled containers of all shapes and sizes - they seem to favour these over a lot of purchased bath toys. They love pouring water between the containers and experimenting with them. Then at the end of the bath we stack them into a laundry bag and hang it on the shower tap to drip dry.

Don't forget your cutlery
When out shopping recently I stopped to feed my baby her solids and realised I had forgotten to pack a spoon. I managed to borrow one from a shop, but now I always keep a kids cutlery set including a baby spoon in a zip locked bag in my handbag.
