Discussion Issue
Do/did you have a nesting instinct whilst
pregnant?
Many women experience the nesting instinct
whilst pregnant - the urge to clean, tidy and organise everything
in their lives. This is said to be a primal instinct and
usually starts in around the fifth month of pregnancy but it
is often the most intense in the last few days before labour. Some women
experience a very strong instinct, others not so much. Some
find it is an indication that labour is near.
Do/did you have a nesting instinct whilst
pregnant? If so was it strong? Did you find it strongest
towards the end of your pregnancy? What sort of things did
you have the urge to clean/tidy/organise? If you have more
than one child did you find it was different with each pregnancy?

New Parenting Tips
Homemade
Nutritious Icy-Poles
You can make healthy and delicious homemade icy-poles for
your baby by using plastic icy-pole moulds and filling them
with different fillings like fruit juice, yoghurt (plain
or fruit), stewed fruit or flavoured milk (make it a little
stronger as freezing seems to reduce the flavour). You could also try cordial
or lemonade for a treat. They are small and easy for kids to eat.

Don't Go Back When Weaning
If you are trying to wean your baby from breastfeeding or bottle feeding, once you have made the decision to completely stop, don't be tempted to go back. If you let them have "just one more go" this sends conflicting and confusing messages to your baby. Stay firm with your decision - it generally only takes a few days for babies to get over being weaned. If they are 12 months or less in particular they will forget about it fairly quickly.
