Dads and their kids cooking together
- Iain 'Huey' Hewitson and daughter Charlotte

Most Mums know how much their kids enjoy cooking. But why should it just be Mums? Dads should be cooking with their kids too and Iain 'Huey' Hewitson is leading by example.

Huey often has his 7 year old daughter, Charlotte, on his show, Hueys Cooking Adventures (Channel 10, 3:30pm weekdays). He wants her to have the same love for food and cooking as he has. "It's important to get kids in the kitchen early. Teach them a few things they can cook pretty much by themselves and their love for cooking will grow," Huey says.

"And let's face it, if the kids can cook, it's got to be a good thing for the whole family in the long run. How great will it be for them to cook for you in the future?" Huey says with a big smile.

On May 25th, Charlotte and Huey cooked up a storm on his show. The featured recipes were Charlotte's favourites - Hoisin Chicken Wraps, Barbecued Pork Cutlets and Adam and Eve's Pudding. Yummy!!

At the end of the show, Huey even pulled out his guitar and he and Charlotte sang along to 'Octopus' Garden' by The Beatles!
