As of October 1, 2009, with any Bugaboo purchase, Bugaboo will contribute 1% of their total revenue to the Global Fund to help fund AIDS programs in Africa, with an emphasis on the health of women and children. Despite AIDS being a preventable and treatable disease, 4,100 Africans die from the disease everyday, and all it costs to fund the two antiretroviral (ARV) pills a day needed to keep someone with HIV alive, is 40 cents.
