UWA Researchers Require Participants! - Overweight Boys Aged 7-12

UWA Researchers Require Participants! - Overweight Boys Aged 7-12

The University of Western Australia is conducting a study and requires participants! Overweight boys aged 7-12 years are required for the study to determine

the exercise intensity that maximises fat oxidation which may lead to

the development of more effective exercise programs to help manage and

prevent obesity.

Participants will be required to come into the

laboratory for one half hour session each week for eight weeks where

they will receive a DEXA body scan (detailing the amount and

distribution of fat and muscle in the body, and bone density), fitness

testing, eight supervised cycling sessions and an individually

tailored exercise program.

To see if you are eligible to participate, or if you would like more

information, please contact Nicole Crisp at the School of Sports

Science, Exercise and Health at UWA either via email

crispn01@student.uwa.edu.au or mobile 0438 944 464 at any time.
