Life Coaching for Mums - Kirsti's Response
Check out our Life Coaching for Mums page or read another question now! Reader's Question How can I be totally satisfied with Life as a Mum? How do other Mums do this - is it possible? Kirsti's Response Hello, Thanks for your email. As mums, we know that having and raising children is the hardest job in the world and I believe the least recognised. Its a 24 hour, 7 days a week job (in most cases), with not a great deal of breathing space for ourselves. Part of my core business is working with mums to assist them to find true balance in their lives. Being a mum is different for everybody and having 'total satisfaction' on a day-to-day basis probably doesn't exist! Please don't feel like you are alone. It's very important for you to keep your spirit alive by finding some me time, finding some sort of hobby or interest and exploring your true passion and what really excites you - whatever it is for you that will provide you with a different focus along with raising your children. As mums we all know, that some days are great and other days are damn exhausting and challenging. Life has challenges and problems built in however, It's how we handle those challenges which allows us to truly grow and develop as humans. For me personally, I am constantly finding balancing my family and my company is a fine art - however it is working for me as I need contribute on a larger scale and help other people change their lives. Most importantly, to be a happy and fulfilled mum for my daughter (and new bub on the way!). You may like to grab a pen and paper and answer some questions below that I have devised for you and other mums who may be experiencing similar feelings.
I want you to take yourself to the end of the year, its New Year' Eve and you are looking back on the year 2008. What is it you wished you had the courage to do? What's one new thing you can do now that will make a difference in your life? It also may be a good idea to connect with other mums in your local area who are like-minded. You will find by just reaching out, talking about what's really going on for you that you will have other mums come forward with how they deal with the day to day challenges of running a family. Depending on how old your child or children are, you may like to consider joining a play group or other activities where kids can have fun and you can meet other mums as well. If you would like to speak to me personally, I would be more than happy to offer you a free coaching session over the phone. I am also running workshops in Sydney with a leading Fashion Designer on the 8 November for mums and women of all ages - Real Bodies, Real Life campaign. Please contact Kirsti on 02 8521 9433.
