Hi there.

My name is Jo and I am a researcher at the BabyLab at Swinburne Uni in Melbourne.

We are looking for parents of kids aged 5 years and under to help us investigate the CURRENT PATTERNS OF VIDEO-CHAT IN FAMILIES WITH YOUNG CHILDREN with a short, online questionnaire.

In recent years, we have seen the introduction of some amazing new communication technologies, and with these, the way we communicate with our loved ones has changed. Video-chatting now connects many families who are geographically separated, and allows face-to-face, real-time interaction between babies, toddlers, teens, parents, and grandparents alike.

While this technology is changing how people relate to one another, until now, the phenomenon of video-chatting has not been well investigated.

We are looking for parents of children aged 5 and under to complete a short online questionnaire (5-15 minutes) as the first step into our investigation of the benefits of video-chat between young children and their grandparents. The results of this questionnaire will help guide the direction that our future research into the area takes.

If your children do not currently video-chat, you are still welcome to participate in the questionnaire.

If you would like to ask any questions about this study, or find out about any other of our BabyLab studies, I can be contacted at Swinburne University at:
JTarasuik@swin.edu.au
+61 3 9214 8822

The questionnaire can be found at
http://opinio.online.swin.edu.au/s?s=5158

Your contribution is much appreciated.

Thanks,

Jo.

We like to think that healthy eating is as simple as feeding your Toddler a Rainbow every day! Think of the colors of the rainbow and then think of the vegetables and fruits that match those colors! Granted, it will be very hard to feed your Toddler "blues" and "purples" every day however, the general idea of following the rainbow should be helpful.

Red - Apples, Cherries, Strawberries, Watermelon, Red Potatoes, Tomatoes
Orange - Oranges, Peaches, Sweet Potatoes, Carrots
Yellow - Bananas, Summer Squash, Wax Beans, Pears
Green - Avocado, Green Beans, Zucchini, Mango, Papaya
Blue - Blueberries
Purple - Grapes, Eggplant
