Here are a few of our recent finds:

Weego Bottles
There have been plenty of horror stories in the press lately on the danger of plastics to children, which is why we love Babylife's glass Wee-go bottles, which won't leach nasty chemicals into your baby's milk. The bottle ring and cap are polycarbonate-free and the teat itself is latex-free and non-toxic. Science aside, it looks cool too, with its sleek design and funky silicon cover, which helps little hands hold on tight and protects it from being bashed around in the nappy bag. Style comes at a price, of course, hence these are $54 USD for a set of three. Head to www.thesoftlanding.com to find out about international shipping.

nestt Carseat
The humble car seat is set to be the next big thing in product design for families, and if you don't believe me, take a look at this prototype from nestt. Shaped like an egg, and comprising just six parts, it swivels and tilts so you can slide your child in easily, all with just one hand.

But is it safe? It certainly sounds it, with its steel skeleton, providing optimum side impact protection in the event of an accident. The nestt car seat will be convertible, rear-facing for very young children, and forward-facing for older ones. There are air channels for breathability and cushioning and the seat pads come in different sizes and colours, designed to be snapped in and out to accommodate children of different shapes and sizes.

The seats use a closed-cell polymer - similar to the material Crocs uses for its shoes. They are scheduled to hit stores in time for Christmas, but let's just cross our fingers they don't forget the Australian market.

Better Wallpaper
We love the idea of decorating your home with family photos blown up to the size of wallpaper. UK company Better Wallpaper will take your digital image, print it onto wallpaper and deliver it ready to put up. You can customize the wallpaper to whatever size you prefer and the product comes with a 7-year no-fade guarantee. By that time your kids will be completely different and it will be time for a change anyway! The company handles international orders, and will provide a PDF proof of the final product before it proceeds with the final printing. The price varies with size, but a printed sheet 1.5m x 1.5m would set you back £90. Visit www.betterwallpaper.co.uk for a quote.
