about usAbout Mum Zone Mum Zone is an Australian site designed for Australian Mums, by Australian Mums. The content is a melting pot of ideas, advice, tips etc. representing the challenges faced by parents every day as part of raising a family like breastfeeding, taking care of a baby, choosing baby gifts and more. The intention of Mum Zone is to allow parents to share their knowledge and experience with other parents, express their opinions, find better ways of doing day to day tasks to make life a little bit easier. A Mum with 8 kids who has been raising babies for years might find the simplest piece of information from the Mum of a newborn just because she has a different perspective. None of us can possibly know everything but if we put our heads together we can come very close! Mum Zone - A great place to share your experiences and knowledge with other parents and in return find better ways of doing things to make your life easier. acknowledgements Our sincere thanks to the many people in the Mum Zone community who have contributed their ideas, advice, tips etc. to make this such a great reference site for Mums. Special thanks goes to the Mums whose ideas, advice and tips were published on the Mum Zone site prior to launching. Emma Newman - Mum Zone Founder, Owner, Manager Emma Newman launched the Mum Zone website in mid 2007 to fill a gap in the market for useful but easy to digest information about pregnancy, having a baby, caring for a baby and mums looking after themselves and their families. At the time, Emma's first baby was a year old and she included as much information as she could about the journey so far to help other mums - tips and information she had picked up along the way. Since this time Mum Zone's list of contributors has grown overwhelmingly and diversely. The site has quickly developed into a well recognised and respected pregnancy and parenting resource website in the Australian arena. Emma is proud to have won the 2009 University of Ballarat Technology Park New and Emerging Business Award as part of the CGU Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards. Emma lives in regional Victoria and is married with two girls aged 3 and 1. Lifecoach Kirsti Boothroyd recently interviewed Emma. View Mum Zone in the Media.
